Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement begins tonight.
On this day we fast to nourish our spiritual essence that is always connected to God regardless of our behavior.
May this Yom Kippur bring us forgiveness.
May we all be granted a year of goodness, life, health and happiness.
With blessings,
Carol

Believe me, I understand! I am more aware of my social etiquette now too. Kind of like kindergarten: be friendly with your friends and be as inclusive as possible.

You have made me aware that perhaps I should have signed the names of my whole family? This blog is becoming more inclusive than I expected! I thought you would want to know, Yaffa still sings “let it go” at the top of her lungs, but we have added more current songs that are less wholesome. Give me the princess theme any day.

Oh gosh! I remember so well my girls picking up songs I didn’t like so well and trying not to be too disapproving because that just lit the inner demon and made them all the more determined to sing them – one favourite was ‘The Thong Song’ and my eldest (8 years older than the youngest) taught them all and then had them all singing it (with actions) in the back of the car on the motorway when she KNEW I could do nothing except smile and nod!

I do identify! It is hard to complain since I am grateful she can hear and she is able to sing with her voice and not only with sign language and in tune to boot!

Hi! I thought you would want to know that Yaffa has not completely abandoned the princess theme. This morning, she came up and said, “Your Majesty, may I please have my breakfast?” How cute is that?

She is absolutely delicious! And smart …. A girl should never abandon her inner, nor outer Princess entirely. I hope you made breakfast satisfactorily, your Majesty!

I like that imagery of inner and outer princess. It brings up a lot of ideas. Her breakfast was the usual: prune juice, banana and rice and milk. She is a creature of habit.

Glad you like it and I must say that sounds like a VERY good breakfast of habit 🙂
